CSO1826 Cumhurbaşkanlığı Senfoni Orkestrası Müzesi// The Presidential Symphony Orchestra is one of the deepest-rooted art institutions in the world. It is among the rare collective arts institutions that have been operational throughout history. The total Site Area is 40.000 m². CSO1826 is the annex of Ankara’s new concert avenue that has 27 years history of construction. the exhibition reveals 200 years of presidential orchestrate in 360m2 compact space formerly planned to be a “CD shop”. It is situated in a relatively wide corridor/ hole surrounding the chamber orchestra venue. The two continuous circular walls defining the exhibition space shapes the general characteristics of the interior design. Walkthrough the exhibition and the experience differentiate by sound, material choice, light plays and graphic design. Using bold moments of material choice, color and fine woven details we transform the repetition to surprise and depth. It was a minuscule space which is waved with bold statements. TEATI was responsible for the concept design, collection management and museum scenario narration including shop-drawings and fabrication, museum lighting design. We also held the construction consultancy and the proper material choice and implementation of the details for the Ministry of Culture.
