Agriculture Museum / Çukurova Tarım Müzesi
3rd phase of Adana Museum, including Industry, Agriculture, Fashion and City Museums has officially launched on April 2023. We are proud to design this grand project. The Adana Museum is the greatest adaptive re-use project in Turkey and the Middle East, including the restoration, conservation, and transformation of an industrial heritage site. In the third phase, TEATI developed the museum transformation, exhibition design, and visitors' experience of the former textile mill campus. The development of the exhibition concept, as well as the narrative results from the collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TEATI architects. The museum's narrative commences with the agricultural policies and reforms of the late Ottoman period, housed within the 4,200m2 of the mill originally constructed in 1902. The exhibition focuses on the development of agricultural techniques, including mechanization, education, and national policies. Notably, it stands as the first thematic museum of its kind in Turkey and, alongside the preceding sections of the museum, it ranks among the largest museums in the Middle East and Europe.
